The school year is flying by; we cannot believe it is already the middle of April! Our class has been learning about so many interesting things. We planted our Lima Bean plants in class, and we are going to keep a journal to observe their growth. We are able to identify the different parts on a lima bean plant, and we also learned about dormant plants and hydroponics! Growing plants without soil is very cool, and we saw pictures of the ride The Land” in Disney World that features hydroponic plants!
In writing this week, we started learning about opinion letters. We started to plan our opinion letters that we will be writing to Mrs. Gansert to persuade her to let us create a class garden. Thank you again for your kind contributions to our class garden, we are very appreciative of your support!
In math this week the students started learning about measurement, and they did a wonderful job on their class work and homework! We also finished up our math unit, and took the test Friday. We will start learning our new unit on measurement and data and we will begin tally and frequency tables!
