We took our last official test of third grade! The students completed the end of the year math test, after studying hard the week before. These will not come home, but know that your child put lots of effort into the test. The rest of the week, we played math games on the iPads and Mrs. Miller began teaching us chess! Next week, please send in a board game that involves math. This might include money, addition, time, etc. Thanks for your help.
In third grade, we began to rehearse plays. The class is split into two groups and we will perform the plays for the other third grade class. Both plays are folk tales from other countries, which make the plays very interesting! Ask your child which one they are in.
The third graders also typed up advice for next years' third graders. Next week, we are going to go to the second grade classrooms and read our advice to them. We can't wait!! The kids also typed up the top ten things the fourth grade teachers should know about them for next year. I am going to give these to the fourth grade teachers!
Don't forget our class picnic is on Thursday, June 20th. You are invited to attend from about 9:30-12:30. Can't wait to see you!! :-)
