WE DID IT!

Four days of the NJ ASK are over!  We survived two days of language arts and two days of math!  Now for the rest of the school year!

Throughout the rest of the week, we did a mini-inquiry study on Ancient Egypt.  The students were split into groups, based on what they wanted to study about Egypt.  We had two mummy groups, pyramids, Pharaohs, hieroglyphics, Egyptian Religion, and Egyptian foods.  The class learned lots of interesting facts and created a poster based on what they learned.  We presented the posters today.  The students were very interested in this topic, and asked lots of insightful questions.  See below for pictures of the posters. (I am missing one and will add it on Monday.)

Our REACH presentation will be on May 30th at 2:15.  If you haven't done so yet, please send in something for your child to wear.

A big THANK YOU to parents who sent in snacks during the ASK week.  The students loved having something to eat before sitting down and taking the test.

Enjoy your weekend! :-)
