Wow! It is amazing what studying and working hard will do! Your children did an amazing job on the Science Quiz on Thursday! I am so proud! The scores were fantastic!
As always, our week was very busy and filled with a lot of fun! We continued to study for science, by playing a "family feud" game! We practiced the rap over and over, which I can tell paid off!
This week, we again dived into picking candidates and having a voice in our community. The students worked with a partner to create a sign about something they might want to change in the community. Some of the changes were a pool and hot tub at the school and more recess time!
The five candidates (Jackson, Shianne, Johnatan, Ashton, and Andrew) worked on their speeches for our class election! On Tuesday, we will listen to the speeches and narrow the candidates down to two!
In writing, we continued to develop our novels and some even began the first chapters of the novel! I can't wait to read them! We also began a persuasive writing. The focus of the writing is to convince me not to carve their pumpkin! I know the writing is going to be really funny and I can't wait to see the finished product.
Today we had an assembly with Johnathan Sprout! He sings songs about American Heroes. We had a great time!
Thanks for visiting and I look forward to a fun week next week! HALLOWEEN!!!
